"I want to thank you service team for taking care of my air conditioning problem. Dave Shears helped me locate a fan needed, they worked me in on Friday afternoon, made necessary modification to install the subsitute fan, and got me out in record time."
"Whenever possible, we have our motorhome serviced at Freightliner/Oasis in Tolleson, AZ.
"When you can't trust the dealer where you purchased the motorhome, you go to where the chassis was made and have them service it!
"It's (Freightliner) close to where we live and the Service Manager, Kirk Ault, is the best! Having been in sales for many years, I love it when a person under-promises and then OVER-DELIVERS. Kirk is great and I always tell fellow RV owners that were smart enough to buy a Freightliner-supported RV to go to Kirk.
"Thanks for a lot of happy miles."

"In June 2007 my wife, Elizabeth, and I took delivery of a Tiffin Motor Homes Allegro Bay 35 TSB on a Freightliner FRED chassis. We are not only thrilled with the quality and service that we have received from Tiffin Motor Homes, we are equally pleased with the quality and performance of the FRED chassis.
"I understand that many potential FRED owners are concerned about the noise normally associated with a front engine diesel. Noise is not an issue with the FRED chassis. Elizabeth and I can listen to the radio, CDs and/or carry on conversations at normal levels without any trouble while cruising on most roadways. Many times all we hear is the hum of the tires rolling along the roadways.
"This is our first RV, so I was quite concerned about the maneuverability of a 35-foot vehicle. The 55-degree wheel cut gave me far more maneuverability than I expected. On our first long trip, we had occasion to visit a friend as we were leaving Mobile, Alabama, at his residence at the end of a cul-de-sac. We had our car in tow on a tow dolly. I thought for sure that I’d have to disconnect the car and dolly to back up to leave the neighborhood after our visit. Not so – the Allegro Bay on the FRED chassis made the swing around the cul-de-sac with room to spare. As a matter of fact, on my last trip to an RV park in New Hampshire two weeks ago, I missed the turn for the park and had to make a U-turn at a fork in the road. No problem with our Allegro Bay FRED.
"On one of the RV forums that I monitor, I frequently read of modifications that RVers make to their RVs for better handling. Roadworthiness is not an issue with the FRED chassis. It was difficult for me to keep some of the RVs that I tested in the travel lane during test drives. They seemed to sway in the rear and I had to make adjustments to stay in my lane. This is not so with the FRED chassis. The FRED tracks great, even towing a 4,000-pound vehicle on a tow dolly. On our first long trip as we were leaving Mobile, we were operating east on Route 10 at 55-60 miles per hour in the right travel lane. The cube truck in front of me cut left sharply exposing a disabled car operating about 15 miles per hour in the right travel lane. I hit the brakes and cut left, hoping not to hit the disabled vehicle dead on. Much to my surprise, and my son Brian, who was following us to return his rental car, I was able to maneuver around the disabled car avoiding a near tragedy. I don’t believe that that maneuver would have been possible with some of the other RVs that I test drove.
"When I was testing other RVs, many of them seemed underpowered. It took forever for them to get up to speed. The combination of the Cummins 6.7-liter engine with the Allison 2100 MH transmission in the FRED chassis is a great powertrain. Much of our travel has been in the mountains of New England, Upstate New York and Pennsylvania.
"We always tow our car. To date we have had no issues maintaining our speed going up some pretty steep grades. There is more than enough power to conquer any incline we have encountered in our travels. Without a doubt, the acceleration of the Allegro Bay on the FRED chassis is better than any of the other RVs I test drove. The engine brake for the steep declines is a great safety feature to maintain a safe speed without burning out our brakes.
"I’m not sure what kind of mileage we’d get in our Allegro Bay FRED without towing a car. However, I can tell you that towing our 4,000-pound car with the tow dolly at 55 mph in some pretty hilly territory we are averaging 10.1 miles per gallon and our Cummins 6.7-liter engine isn’t even broken in yet.
"I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how pleased we are with the performance of our Tiffin Allegro Bay 35 TSB on the FRED chassis. It’s a great combination. We wish Freightliner Custom Chassis and Tiffin Motor Homes success during these difficult economic times. We have no doubt that both will continue manufacturing quality products for many years to come."

"I previously owned a 35 ft motorhome on a Workhorse chassis (gas). My wife and I purchased a 38 ft (Bounder) pusher with a 300 CAT engine. After our first long trip to the Florida Keys, we realized what a great purchase we had made. The Freightliner XC S chassis was a pleasure to drive and the comfort level was just too good to be true. I have one warranty issue with the coach and the experience that I had with Freightliner and their service dealer (Liberty Equipment Co. of Thornburg, VA) to solve this issue was just super fine. I don't regret buying the Freightliner and I would recommend Freightliner to anyone who wants a quality chassis and good service."

"I bought my coach in California and brought it back to Canada. I checked the antifreeze and it said it was almost straight water. I then called the Freightliner customer service line and spoke to a person named Joe (I didn't get his last name as I should have) and he was more than helpful and gave me a reference number and told me to take it to the Freightliner dealer in my area. I took it in and they had me in the shop within 15 minutes and checked out my problem. It was my fault as you need a special tester and the shop foreman said it is fooling a lot of people. I was more than impressed with the service, both in the U.S.A. and Canada. There was no charge and they looked after me with no questions asked and even gave me advice on what to keep an eye on, as this is the first diesel pusher motor home I have owned. Thank you, Freightliner, for your excellent help and service!!!"
